Registration for the Lowland Leader award has a cost. You will need a credit or debit card to register. An email receipt will be sent to your email address, this should allow you to claim this cost back if you are passing it on to your employer.

We'll send you an invoice in the next few days. You can pay by card, cheque or bank transfer.

We accept Purchase Orders from schools but it is your responsibility to ensure the Purchase Order is sent to Friends of the Award, and you will be liable for payment if your school does not pay through their Purchase Order system.

DofE volunteers may be eligible for additional funding towards the costs of this course. We will contact you about this.

The course will involve travelling between the centre and local countryside venues. We prefer to organise car sharing between candidates.

Terms and Conditions

  1. Cancellations: You must give us notice as soon as you wish to withdraw from a course. We will only refund your payment if we are able to book someone else on in your place.

  2. It is your responsibility to understand and complete the pre-requisites for your course. If you are unable to complete them you should cancel as per point 1 above.

  3. If you are unprepared for the course or do not arrive on time, you will not be allowed to take part and no refund will be offered.

  4. We will endeavour to run the course on the advertised dates, but in some cases we may have to cancel or postpone courses e.g. due to staff illness, insufficient candidates. If we cancel the course we will offer you a postponed date or refund you in full.

  5. Due to time constraints, training and assessment courses will not always cover every item on the syllabus. Candidates are responsible for their own learning and the course handbook is a suggested starting point.
