Leadership:
We are always looking for volunteer leaders for our school, organisation-based and Open Award Groups.
You do not need to be a DofE Award holder yourself to take part.
In exchange for your time, energy and enthusiasm we will provide you with all the training you need.
We run a training and events programme throughout the year that you can tap in to.
Most of these are free or low cost.
Our more long term volunteers are able to complete BELA training with us free of charge.
Opportunities in
- Group leadership and helper roles
- Group organisational support (administration and communication)
- Expedition supervisors and assessors ( if you already have outdoor qualifications we can certainly use your expertise)
- Sports instructors
- First Aid instructors
Not the outdoor type?
We have all manner of service-related volunteering opportunities:
- Help to put together a databank of photos for our publicity materials
- Help to write articles for our newsletter and web-site
Contact us to arrange an informal meeting to discuss your interests or complete the leader application form.
We have a dedicated Volunteer Support and Development Officer (temporary for 6 months) Bev Hope.
Bev is holding a series of events over Autumn/Winter 2010 designed to support and update our many dedicated volunteers. See our Events list for details.
